Testing the Boundaries of Imagination

Change is in the air

Posted by Logan

AFter eight years of republican control of our presidency, I still don't get how the American public can even fathom, voting for a republican presidential candidate. I think some times, in 2000, at the end of the Clinton administration and after the United States had seen the most prosperous era in our countries history, that the republicans got together and had a meeting. At this meeting I can picture several board chairmen, CEO's, and prominent republican lifer politicians sitting around a table, cigars filling the air with smoke and one man speaks; "Gentlemen, I can't speak for everyone, but after eight years of our country prospering and having over a trillion dollar revenue, I can't take any more."  The men around the table start looking at each other, shaking their heads in agreement, grumbling and look around at one another. The man speaks again; " What we HAVE to do is find the dumbest person in our party and get him elected no matter what the cost. We have to do a number on the economy so that ONLY the rich get richer and the poor get it broke off in them again, we need a war in the middle east, we have got to, at all costs, leave the housing market in ruins, NOT TO MENTION, the banking industry, so that we can spend billions of dollars, POSSIBLY TRILLIONS,  on corporate bail outs as we need in the eighties and at the beginning of the great depression in 1932, when we broke our country in that history."

Another man speaks, "What about George W. Bush?"

The first man says," Perfect."

Fast forward eight years MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Research the candidates and use your minds to distinquish between misquided philosophy of the republican party and the hope that is the Democratic Party. I employ you to do so. Vote with your head and not your hearts.

Predection: If McCain/Palin are elected, by the end of their term, we will see economic turmoil the likes of which will make the great depression look like a speedbump. We will be well on our way to becoming the greatest third world country on the planet. Our country will not survive it.
